Lynda Terry is a meditation teacher, spiritual mentor, author and the founder of Vessels of Peace. Over the past 15 years, Lynda has transitioned from a career in marketing communications, college teaching and public relations, to a life and work grounded in spiritual service. She began teaching meditation in the early 1990s, after her own meditation practice – initiated to cope with a life crisis – transformed her physically, emotionally and spiritually. People began asking her to teach them to meditate, and she realized she had found her calling:

“Buddhist meditation teacher Sylvia Boorstein has said that ‘The one thing meditation has taught me [is] that …it is within the possibility of the human being to discover that one’s basic nature is peaceful. That discovery carries with it the end of suffering, a desire to change the world, and the ability to do it.’ I, too, have discovered this truth through meditation, and my life’s work is about helping others discover it for themselves -- for each time this truth is discovered by a human being, we are one step closer to a peaceful world.”

Lynda has a master’s degree from Gannon University and has completed professional and advanced training programs with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine, Washington, D.C. Her study of meditation has included both Eastern and Western spiritual traditions, with a particular focus on the teachings of yoga as offered by Gurumayi Chidvilasananda. Lynda has released guided meditation CDs and conducts workshops, classes and retreats on Vessels of Peace, the 11 Intentions and other spiritual topics . She is the author of the book, "The 11 Intentions: Invoking the Sacred Feminine as a Pathway to Inner Peace."
